If you require transport on the night please ask and we will try to arrange it for you.

AGM Agenda

In accordance with the constitution of the Society, a President, Vice-President, Junior Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and an examiner will require to be elected. You are invited to make nominations for any of the office bearers, one examiner and up to six committee members but please ensure that anyone you nominate is willing to stand.

  • The President Mr Ian Kirk has served three full years in office and is therefore ineligible to stand for re-election.
  • Mr John Thompson is stepping down and will not seek re-election as Treasurer.
  • Mrs Maureen Mathie is stepping down and will not seek re-election to the post of Secretary.
  • Mrs Julia Tubby, Mrs Jenny Briscoe, Mr Stephen Doe and Mrs Thelma Nairn-Doe are all stepping down from the Committee.

The Committee Nomination Form is available by clicking the link below and must be returned by Wednesday, 25th April 2018 to the Secretary Mrs. Maureen Mathie, West Barn, 5 Parkside, Milton Ernest, Bedford, MK44 1RG.

Committee Nomination Form

In accordance with Clause 13 of the Society Rules, the committee has issued a Special Notice that can be accesssed by clicking the link below, giving notice to members that an Extraordinary General Meeting may be called if there are insufficient nominations to form a committee.

Any proposals to be put to the AGM should be submitted in writing to the Secretary by Wednesday, 25th April 2018.

Unlike previous years, annual subscriptions have not yet been set pending the election of a new committee, should one be elected at the AGM. However, at the time of this notice, no expressions of interest have been received by the current committee thereby raising the serious risk of the Society being dissolved. If a committee can be elected, the subscription price will be set as a priority following the AGM.

Yours sincerely

Maureen Mathie

Tea and coffee will be served following the AGM
